Afternoons Are Made for … Snacking?

19 Feb

I’m not even through day 2 yet and having a rough go of things.  Food is on my mind constantly.  Which is actually a bit rare – I never used to do that.  Odd, I realize, given my weight.  I guess because in the past if I thought about it briefly – I went and got something to eat.  Or maybe now because I can’t have it – I want it.  I’m not sure.

I’m finding that afternoon’s are the hardest.  I want to snack, snack, snack.  Even snacking on an apple with reduced fat peanut butter is 5 points.  I realize it’s a healthier option than something I might have chosen in the past (hello, Doritos).  But it doesn’t fill me up for longer than an hour.

Trying to keep my mind occupied so I don’t want to eat.  Snacking all afternoon – even on healthy things with low or zero points – isn’t going to be the way to go long term.  Have to get my body used to not eating so much.

Come on body, time to get on board!  We’re doing this!
