Day 4 – Slow & Steady Wins the Race

21 Feb

Day four is coming to a close and I feel like I’m making good progress.  I’ve not gone over my points for the day – haven’t touched any of my “extra” points and have felt full and not having cravings.  Which is a welcome surprise.  I know I became this way the first time I was on Weight Watchers – but it was so long ago, five years to be exact, that I don’t remember much of the day to day stuff.  Just that I lost 45 pounds in 3 months.

Here’s how the day broke down, food wise:

Breakfast: Skipped it.  I know it’s the worst thing you can do, but prior to Weight Watchers it was my norm.  I get so busy with work that it’s lunch time before I realize I’ve missed a meal.  Will try to get better about this, because I do believe breakfast IS the most important meal of the day.

Lunch:  I had a terrible pre-made salad (read about it here) that made me realize I’m better off making a home made salad … one I’ll enjoy!

Dinner: Left overs – a cheeseburger and paprika fries from the Weight Watchers cook book.

original-box-largeSnacks: An apple, a small handful of almonds, popcorn and a pretzel.

Today’s great find was soft pretzels.  I bought them pre-diet and never got around to eating them.  Imagine my surprise when I calculated the points and one pretzel was just 4 points!  I didn’t put the salt or anything else on them – just microwaved for 30 seconds and threw some mustard on there.  A delicious and filling snack!  The kind I had were Super Pretzel.

Until tomorrow!
