10 Days In … and Update on the Weight Loss Journey!

Today marked ten days in on round three of Weight Watchers.  And so far, so good!  I did have one day where I was feeling down and discouraged (hello, January 9th) but I didn’t blow my points or do anything off track.  Just hated the fact I was on a diet that day.

Most days I’m not coming close to using all my points.  Today I have 9 points left over.  That’s a small meal!  And although I feel accomplishment about not using all my points, the points are there for a reason.  I do need to be eating.  Not storing points that I can’t use later.  One or two left over points is okay.  9?  Not so much.

I was down 2.4 pounds on my first weigh in – but that’s not surprising given how much crap food, I mean fast food, I had been eating went away.   It’s pretty easy to lose a few when you’re not visiting McDonald’s frequently.

The one area that needs improvement is my exercise.  And I’m planning to join a gym tomorrow.  We’ll see how that goes.  I really enjoy getting my exercise outdoors – but the schedule just doesn’t permit right now.  Joining a gym and having access to treadmills and other equipment seems like a no brainer.

So I thought I’d share a snack item that really gets me through the day.  These incredible Special K Honey BBQ Cracker Chips.  27 chips (which is a very generous amount) is 3 points.  When I need a break from fruit or veggies and am looking for something a little bit heavier, this does the trick.  Plus, how can you go wrong with honey BBQ?  🙂

Tomorrow is weigh in #2.  Hoping for continued progress but will also be okay and content if it’s not where I’d like it to be.  This is a journey … not a sprint.  Took me a LONG time to realize that.

    You can do it. Don’t save those points. Eat them and enjoy them! I love your last quote!
