Exercising When You’re Sick

As you may recall from an earlier post, I knew it was time for me to shape up and get on an exercise schedule.  I have been doing really great on Weight Watchers – but I know it’s about more than just eating healthy.  Sporadic work outs just weren’t going to cut it.

So this week I committed myself to working out at least 3 times per week.  This will likely increase as I build up my strength and endurance.

Monday went great – no problems.

Yesterday?  Not quite so easy.

I’ve been battling a terrible cold and it has progressively gotten worse over the week.  Although I was too tired to work out yesterday, I still did it.  I got myself on the bike and pedaled my little heart out.  I still did my full work out, but I was much more winded and exhausted than I had been two days prior.  My miles-per-hour were slightly lower and I didn’t go as far a distance as I had on Monday.

But the good thing is I did it!  I struggled through every minute of it – but I got it done.

Do you exercise when you’re under the weather?  Do you change up your routine at all – trying something a bit more slower paced?
